Getting Started with MetaMask® Extension
MetaMask® is a secure and convenient wallet extension that allows you to interact with the Ethereum blockchain and its ecosystem. Here’s how to get started:
1. Installation
Chrome: Visit the Chrome Web Store and search for MetaMask, then click "Add to Chrome".
Firefox: Go to the Firefox Add-ons page and search for MetaMask, then click "Add to Firefox".
2. Creating a New Wallet
After installing, click on the MetaMask icon in your browser extension area to open the setup.
Welcome Screen: Click "Get Started".
Create a Wallet: Choose "Create a Wallet" for a new wallet.
Agree to Terms: Read and agree to the terms and conditions.
Set a Password: Enter a strong password.
3. Secure Your Wallet
Secret Recovery Phrase: Write down your secret recovery phrase and keep it in a secure location. This phrase is crucial for recovering your wallet.
4. Add Funds to Your Wallet
Transfer Ethereum (ETH) or other supported tokens from another wallet or exchange to your new MetaMask address.
5. Interacting with DApps
Navigate to a decentralized application (DApp) and connect your MetaMask wallet to interact with the Ethereum blockchain.
